Afa Annfa: Wonder as Wander,2019

Between 2019 and 2020, the artist witnessed her city undergo profound and tumultuous transformations. During this period, human facades were magnified infinitely: some revealed beauty and nobility; others exposed ugliness, grotesque and monstrous visages akin to demons.

Through silent observation and introspection, Afa Annfa transformed these faces into various chimerical spirits and goblins, depicting the disorientation, enchantment, and phantasmagoria born of greed and desire.
